Welcome to the Minnesota Military Museum

Thank you for visiting our website. We hope you'll follow up by visiting us in person at Camp Ripley. Just off Minnesota Highway 371 or US 10, the museum is a welcoming place for families, groups, members of the Armed Forces, veterans, military history buffs, and anyone interested in learning more about Minnesota's history and military heritage.

Groups and Tours

Groups are always welcome but, if possible, please let us know in advance. Group tours can usually be arranged for non-regular times upon request.

Admission for organized field trips by school and youth groups is $2 per person, including chaperones, if scheduled in advance. Admission for adults on a pre-scheduled organized tour is $3 per person.

If you are a teacher, see how we can enhance your student's group experience at the museum.  You can request a "living history" tour guide.  Check out our Teacher Resources.

Accessibility

All museum buildings are handicapped accessible.  Parking is conveniently located on the museum grounds.

Gift Shop

The museum’s gift shop, the Sutler Store, offers military and Minnesota-themed books, souvenirs, gifts, caps, posters, toys, and a diverse selection of military surplus clothing and equipment. Merchandise is available for all branches of service, including retiree and reserve personnel. Proceeds directly support museum operations.

Admission

The museum is open to the general public as well as military personnel.

Admission is $5.00 for adults and $2 for children ages 6-18 ($12 maximum for a household). Admission is free for children under 6, currently serving military personnel, and members of the Military Historical Society of Minnesota.

The $12 maximum household fee caps what a family will pay to visit the museum. It covers all members of an immediate family living in the same household.

Admission for organized field trips by school and youth groups is $2 per person, including chaperones, if scheduled in advance. Admission for adults on a pre-scheduled organized tour is $3 per person.

Picnic benches are available for lunch and there is an on-post cafeteria nearby that is open to the public.

Please note:  Camp Ripley requires ALL adult occupants of vehicles entering Camp Ripley to show a state drivers license or a federal- or state-issued I.D. card.
