Renowned author Alex Kershaw has written several books about significant chapters in the Second World War.  Minnesotans have often been central to these stories. 

The Minnesota Military and Veterans Museum is hosting a summer reading series of Kershaw books in 2026.  Participating students will receive complimentary books and a behind-the-scenes tour of related artifacts at the new Camp Ripley museum (prior to the September grand opening) to include a virtual meeting with Alex Kershaw.
